The Build Log

We show our homework.

We teach churches to run media like a system. This page is our system running in public: what changed on this site, week by week, and why. Including the misses.

Aug 21, 2026

An outside audit read every public page and listed where the site disagreed with itself. The list got worked the same day.

Two footer links pointed at products that no longer exist, the contact page had no email address on it, one member quote was printed two different ways, and this page had been quiet for three weeks. All of it is fixed, and the items that were decisions rather than bugs went to Evan.

Aug 20, 2026

The book page got its trailer.

Evan's short on why a church has to occupy the algorithm now plays in the cover's spot when you pick it. YouTube loads nothing until you tap, so the page stays fast.

Aug 19, 2026

Occupy the Algorithm went on sale for $15, and Store came back to the header.

The book is the on-ramp to everything else we teach. With two products on the shelf, the store earned its header link back.

Aug 19, 2026

The member area was reworked end to end: dashboard, training, plan, numbers, community, and a first-visit walkthrough that tours the real pages.

The dashboard now answers each member from their own answers, and a new member's first visit walks them through every room instead of leaving them in the lobby.

Aug 19, 2026

We caught the fine print up: an accessibility statement, a Your Privacy Choices page, purchase terms beside every buy button, and fonts served from our own domain.

Nobody should hand their IP address to Google just to read a page about church media. A consent you can give also has to be easy to take back, so the footer has a Cookie choices control now.

Aug 18, 2026

Two more lessons landed in the library: Packaging Is the Job, and YouTube Is a Search Engine.

A lesson is live the minute it is filmed and uploaded. The counts on the sales pages are computed from the library, so they updated without anyone typing a new number.

Aug 14, 2026

Members got Your Plan (22 questions in, a plan out) and Your Numbers (four metrics on one graph).

Training that never gets applied is the failure we exist to fix. The plan names the next thing to do, and the graph shows whether it worked.

Aug 13, 2026

All 27 worksheets were rebuilt as fillable PDFs, and member progress now saves to your account instead of your browser.

A worksheet you can type into gets used. Progress saved in one browser did not follow you to the next device, and now it does.

Aug 9, 2026

The launch drip promised nine posts and shipped eight.

The Sunday post was pulled and has not gone back up. This page promised the misses, so here is one.

Aug 4, 2026

The site opened.

The under-construction gate came down and the Academy went on sale at its new address. Everything logged above happened on a live site.

Aug 1, 2026

The members' certificate now actually waits for all 74 trainings.

It jumped the gun for a day and offered the download at zero trainings complete. A one-line CSS bug. Caught, fixed, logged here, because that is the deal on this page.

Aug 1, 2026

The homepage got a pulse.

The site now knows what day of your media week it is, and returning visitors pick up where their last diagnosis left off.

Jul 31, 2026

The Tools page turned into a small galaxy.

Free tools should not look like an afterthought. Go hover things.

Jul 31, 2026

The 404 page is now Snow-Man's land.

We are not sorry. Type a wrong URL and meet him.

Jul 31, 2026

The blog started a launch drip: one post every morning through Aug 11.

Nine posts, one per day at 9 AM Eastern, so a new team can build the habit with us instead of binge-reading once and forgetting.

Jul 30, 2026

Three free diagnostic tools went live: the Bottleneck Finder, the Retention Diagnoser, and the Copyright Risk Checker.

The diagnosis should never be the paywall. Bring your real numbers and get a real verdict.

Jul 30, 2026

Every blog post got an animated chart.

We teach show-don't-tell, so the blog should probably live it.

Jul 30, 2026

Blog covers were rebuilt so titles survive every crop Google throws at them.

A thumbnail that loses half its words in search results is a packaging problem, and packaging is literally our lane.

New entries land most weeks. If something on the site looks different than it did last Sunday, this page says why.
